    There's a third-party brand that sold their reels in two versions, one being "Pro". The Pro versions were actually Hewes and even have "HEWES" stamped on the reel themselves. This is how I got some of my Hewes stuff fairly cheap on eBay though it has been a few years now and am not sure how often those might show up anymore. I'll try to remember to look at the reel box tonight and let you know as I forgot the name of the brand (I'm at work now). Another hint is to glance at all eBay auctions for reels particularly those from photo shops closing and such. Sometimes reels are sold but not ID'd as Hewes, and if the photos are good you can see they are Hewes. I got some this way too for cheap.

    Thanks for the tip. If you find the brand I would be interested to know what it is.

    Good morning, Richard;

    Not only Jeff, but Ralph is interested also. I could probably use a couple more Hewes 120 reels and one more Hewes 220 reel also.
    Enjoy;

    Good Afternoon, Richard,

    I'm not certain at all, but I think that some Hewes reels may be available under the King Concept identity. Perhaps someone else can comment.
