    WTB: Hasselblad SWC viewfinder

OK, so I wasn't paying attention in an airport and managed to lose my Hassy SWC viewfinder (old style, with the little side mirror to look down on the bubble level). I've got my own ideas about making a home-brew finder, but I thought I'd see if anyone in APUG-Land has, for some unknown reason, a viewfinder in their sock drawer that they no longer need and would like to sell. I know, the odds of someone having the viewfinder without having the camera is slim, but stranger things have happened.

Please PM me if you do, and thanks!

    Perhaps...

...you might consider using a 21mm VF, such as the C/V, which is easily available and much cheaper. The width could easily be masked off or drawn on with a black marker. It's not perfect and lacks the bubble level, but it's an alternative in a pinch. When you do locate the real Hassy finder, you could sell the C/V finder and not lose too much.

Thanks, Karl. I've got the 21mm Voigtlander and the finder, so I've thought along those lines. Problem is that the hot shoe on the SWC is forward of the back (of course), so it is impossible to get your eye up to the viewfinder. That's why Hasselblad made their finder in an elongated form, so the user's eye could actually reach the finder. I'm jury-rigging an alternative, in part based on a cool electronic level I bought in Germany, but it would be nice to have the original. Heck, even without it I've enjoyed using the SWC as a point-and-shoot, as the field of view is so wide, with significant depth of field.
