FS: WISTA DX 4x5 FIELD CAMERA W/ RODENSTOCK GERONAR 210 MM LENS

Cherry wood Wista in very good condition. 6.8 210mm Rodenstock Geronar in mint condition. See link for Geronar info and test: http://www.hevanet.com/cperez/test/BigMash210.html
I'll also include a Photo Backpacker camera case ( not a backpack ) for the Wista and 5 film holders.
    $750.00 shipped.

I'm selling my 4x5 equipment to buy a Mamiya 7. I just haven't the patience to use the camera and have been shooting mainly med. format. Shipping to CONUS only.

What is the difference between a Wista 4x5 filed camera and the Wista DX 4x5 field camera.

In other words, how can one tell if they are looking at a DX or a standard Wista field camera.

I am referring to the wooden cameras not the metal cameras.

    Thanks

Not sure what you are referring to when you state a "Wista field" camera ? I believe these are one in the same. The instruction manual I have lists the camera as a Wista- 45 DX. I believe field camera is a generic term used for a folding portable LF camera. Maybe someone with more knowledge on the subject can answer your question.
    Thanks

The camera shown has rear shift and swing (the black metal plate at the base of the back). So it has 6 of the 8 basic movements: front rise/fall, swing and tilt, rear swing, shift, and tilt.

It's the same as my Cherry wood Wista 45DX, there was a more basic model with no rear swing or shift I think only sold rebadged in the US. Graham's missedn the fact that this model has rear tilt

The Greonar's an interesting little lens the 150mm just covers 5x4 but this 210 has room for movements, very small and light. Essentially the last modern Cooke Triplet design and Multi-coated as well.

So, how would Toyo boards work with this unit? I have a school rig of a Toyo 45A. Would the boards interchange?

    Thanks, HG

I've a Toyo (Linhof style) board I use with my Wista 45DX as well as unmarked Chinese generic boards and some Wista ones, however not all Toyo 45A cameras use the Linhof style boards - some use a square Toyo lens board. There's a Toyo/Linhof adapter board made this allows lenses on Linhof style boards to be used on the eralier 45A

You'd need to check the exact model of 45A.

Hello there, did you end up selling this item? I am interested but you would have to be willing to ship overseas.
