FS: Hasselblad 903 SWC, complete kit

The SWC is one of the gems in the Hasselblad lineup. The Biogon wide-angle design is often referred to as the finest wide angle lens ever made. The 903 in particular is sought after as it was produced the before german environmental sanctions were changed preventing lead and arsenic infused glass to be used. The glass in the subsequent 905 model as ever so different and less desirable.

While the real world advantage of 903 over the 905 will probably never be seen, if you are a MTF and chart reader, the 903 does have an undisputed advantage.

The lens truly provides what many refer to as the 'Zeiss 3D' look and feel to your film. Velvia and Ektar 100 looks simply amazing when shot in this camera! I have used this system for several years and while it is truly a joy to use, I just can't justify the extra time and expense for using it on assignment work.

This kit includes everything you need to get started shooting. Here is what is included in this system:

A 903 body in exc condition, sn 13ES10406 and current version of the finder that shows zero wear or use.

2 backs, both with matching inserts, one a newer style with the dark slide holder built in and an older back that has had additional notches filed into the edge. Both show a little wear, I did not get the backs when I got the camera.

Hasselblad Sunshade (not the knock off) but shows some wear. Hasselblad short cable release.

Extra dark slide (for your camera bag just in case)

Ground glass back, purchased used, this is engraved as you can see in the image and includes what looks like a Kiev waist level finder.

Two lens caps, one with red tape to stand out and remind you to remove it before shooting! (Yes, I'm speaking from experience here...) and a second 'normal' bay 60 lens cap that shows some miles. I taped up the one that came on the camera.

An old style Hasselblad quick release tripod adapter. And a new style body block.

The entire package is $3100.00 plus shipping.

I'm located in the Chicago Loop if you would like to inspect in person, Paypal is accepted but I would prefer a CC or bank transfer to save the 3% fee PayPal fee. Thanks for looking, let me know if you have any questions or would like to see a view not in the pictures.

    Just like mine. Great camera!
Warning!! Handling a Hasselblad can be harmful to your financial well being!

Nothing beats a great piece of glass!

Between this and the Rolleiwide I chose the Rolleiwide in the end but still lust after this when I see one!
