    Nikomat FT2 with 50/1.4 Nikkor-S - $100

Black body with very little brassing. No dents or dings, except for the usual impressions in the baseplate. Camera recently overhauled (this past March) by Northwest Camera Repair in Everett, WA. Has J screen from an FTn installed, so no split-image to go dark while using slow lenses. Lens is in decent shape with clean glass, smooth focus and properly working diaphragm. Only negative is the fact that someone did a homebrew AI job on it and seemed to have cut the ring wrong. So, it has a notch that is shifted too far to the left. The prong still mounts solidly and couples to the meter on the FT2, but the aperture ring doesn't look great. Lens does come with a chrome button "Nikkor" cap and early Patent Pending 50mm f/1.4 and 58mm f/1.4 HS-1 lens hood.

$80 for the camera body alone, $40 for the lens, or both for $100. I know it's priced higher than most Nikkormat/Nikomat FT2 bodies, but it is in like new working condition.

PayPal or USPS money order accepted, US buyers perferred. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail.

Pics will be done later today. Want to get daylight shots of the camera outdoors.

    The FT2 uses a currently-available 1.5v battery as I recall.

No the FT2 uses the banned PX625 1.35 Volt mercury battery, or the Wein PX625 Zinc Air currently available replacement.

No, I think it uses the Silver Oxide 1.5v:

If you need an adapter to convert #675 hearing aid batteries (zinc-air cells) into a clone of the PX-13/PX-625 mercury cell, please contact me at jon_goodman@yahoo.com. The adapters are still $14 each (which includes the cost of postage to anywhere and a lifetime guarantee). You'll save a lot in comparison to the Wein cell, as the hearing aid batteries can usually be found on sale for less than $1 each. If curious, you can see the adapter at my friend Rick Oleson's page: http://rick_oleson.tripod.com/index-111.html

The FT2 and FT3 use a V76PX battery. The FT and FTn use the 625. That's where the "Nikon Data" book by Comon & Evans is incorrect. I've owned enough of these bodies over the years to know this.

The FT2 uses the currently available 1.5v silver oxides. Earlier Nikkormats (FT, FTN) used the mercury batteries. Sounds like a nice camera... Good luck with the sale.

FT2 is absolutely without question a 357 silver, available in a 3 pack at CVS for 9.00 FTn used px625.

Yup. And said FT2 is now at Glazer's Camera in Seattle, along with the 50. Needed cash quickly.
