    The specs on the lens says it can only focus up to 20", is that really the case?

    According to Canon website the Closest Focusing Distance = 1.6ft or 19.2 inches

    I'll be upfront, I'm not going to buy this... but perhaps I can help you sell it.

    It's the Eye-Controlled-Focusing (or whatever it's called) really as cool as it sounds? When/if I go to an EOS system I intend to buy this one.

    No eye control on this one, the 7E has it. However, eye control seem to vary from user to user and the findings seems to point to eye geometry. Though when it works, people like it. Perhaps there are other reasons, at any rate I don't believe Canon saw value in it as it was never implemented on their newer slrs (I could be wrong, the world is big).
