FS: Hasselblad SWC Super Wide C T* with 2 backs and accessories

This is a Hasselblad SWC, the super wide C model. The serial number indicates manufacture in 1974. This is a T* model 38mm/4.5 Biogon. Included is 2 backs (chrome), lens hoods, lens thread protector, 2 lens caps (one for when using the hood, and one for not), and a SWC back cap plate, kinda rare. I haven't seen too many of these plates. It's for protecting the back of the camera when there is no back on. I'm showing plenty of photos of everything included.

Everything is in great condition, works as it should. I would rate it 9/10 condition.

I'm asking $2200, but will accept offers. PM me.

What a nice rig, Brian. Why sell it?
Stop worrying about grain, resolution, sharpness, and everything else that doesn't have a damn thing to do with substance.

After using this camera for a while I'm just not a super wide angle guy. The lens is amazing, with its sharpness and low distortion, but I don't find myself reaching for it enough to justify keeping it.

Yeah, 38mm is 16mm equivalent in 135 isn't it? Even I, who like wide angles, think that lenses below 20mm are just too crazy.

You would need a 16 mm lens on 35 mm format to have the same vertical angle of view.
With that same 16 mm lens on 35 mm format, the horizontal angle of view would be considerably larger.

Given that we tend to fit subjects in our frames horizontally, the 38 mm Biogon is equivalent to a 24 mm lens on 35 mm format.

Thanks for the tech QG. Most of the shots I've seen out of SWCs have always felt wider than 24mm to my eyes for some reason. They always feel like an 18-20mm lens to me.
