FS: Aero-Ektar 178mm f2.5 mounted on Speed Graphic lens board

This lens is brand-new, mounted onto a Jo Lommen lens board. The removal of the lens and mounting was done by S.K. Grimes.

You won't find another like this. The lens was brand-new when I got it - WW2 surplus, stored in a warehouse since 1945. It was still on the K-24 aerial camera, in the original packaging, untouched. I bought the camera intact and had S.K. Grimes remove it from the K-24 and mount it onto the Jo Lommen custom Aero-Ektar board.

This will mount directly onto your Speed Graphic and the image circle covers 4x5. It's quite an amazing lens. The aperture works smoothly and there are no marks on the glass.

Asking $699.99 plus shipping, which is less than what it my total cost.

The buyer can have the rest of the K-24 camera and original packaging for the cost of shipping.

Yup. As I was photographing it to sell, I kept asking myself "why am I selling this again?"

Doubt you'll see another in this condition.

Not that I have the cheddar but do you have photos taken with the lens? I'd love to see what it can do.

The second half of this page has a nice gallery of shots from various photographers, using this lens.

I had been visited that site 6 months ago when the Ektar threads heated. Newspaper reading woman is true example of this excellent lens. Your lens is the one which is most famous around the photographers and people who are ready to buy Ektar looks for this lens.
This is the one of the best lens money can buy.

By this way I bought my 110 mm f :1.5 Ektar for 50 cents.
