Vivitar Color Wide-Angle Filter Kit for Vivitar Flashes

Color Wide-Angle Filter Kit For Models 283, 273, 365 Automatic Electronic Flash Units

The Vivitar Color Wide-Angle Filter Kit is a tool for expanding your range of creative alternatives. It consists of six filters which enable you to vary the color and intensity of flash illumination. All filters are designed to produce super-wide-angle coverage for lenses up to 21 mm in focal length, using the included SWA panel.

Applications include use in color photography as a mainlight for an overall cast or as fill-in to create colored highlights. In black-and-white photography, filtered flash can be used to alter contrast and tonal values.

Includes vinyl case with Velcro closure, instructions and box.

I know that these filters need an adapter to fit the 283, 273, and 365.

I'm not sure if they fit the 285, directly.

Does anyone know if these filters fit directly onto a 285?

The 285 basically has the adapter built into the front of the flash. These filters will slip right in, no modification or accessories needed.
    So YES, they'll work just fine w/ a 285!

Thanks for that important information. I thought that these filters fit directly into the slot on the head of the 285, but I wasn't sure. Obviously, Vivitar printed the instructions prior to the introduction of the 285.
