Someone here might see the red dot artar front cell in this group.

Generally, it's considered bad form to use the APUG classifieds to advertise eBay auctions, at least in the first post of a new thread. In the future, a more accepted way of using the classifieds as to post an ad so that people can purchase the item from you directly without going through eBay, and then if it doesn't sell after a reasonable interval (what is "reasonable" depends on the item, but usually a week or so), you can move it to auction and post the link as a comment in the existing thread, not as a new thread. Note that it is not considered inappropriate, from APUG's perspective, to advertise simultaneously on other forums like RFF, LFPF, photo.net, etc.
-
Thank you for not deleting the post... the thought of someone posting a link as a heads-up on a good deal, rather than just posting their own auction links on APUG is less offensive to me. Many times I have seen something that I thought members might be interested in on the big auction site, or another forum, but was not sure how to go about letting everyone know.
-
We had a sticky thread in the Lounge for heads-up types of posts about interesting deals on eBay, Craigslist, etc. Not sure if it survived the database problems, but we could start a new one, if it's been deleted.
-
I appreciate occasional heads-up posts. I've done it it myself a few times but I can't remember if it was ever on this forum.

Sponsored Ad. (Subscribers to APUG have the option to remove this ad.)

I put in "anything goes" thinking that doing so would avoid controversy.
No, it's not my sale.
In fact, I rarely if ever shop at CCG.
-
"Anything Goes" is for items other than analogue photo equipment--digicams, scanners, bicycles, watches, chandeliers, furniture, Tiffany lamps, historic newspapers, stamps, coins, autos, etc. Fortunately, we don't get too much of that stuff, and users have the option of putting the subforum on "ignore."
-
OK, the "Heads Up" thread in the Lounge must have been among those that was destabilizing the database, so I've created a new one here:
http://www.apug.org/forums/forum47/1...t-part-ii.html
Please post this kind of information in that thread in the future.

That will be a good one to check daily. Thank-you.
