I dislike both types; the Type I and IIs as mostly over emotional blow hards full of anecdotal opinions and very little facts.
You offered no facts or insights at all and described only, what your precious little crystal ball revealed what would happen in the future. I'd say you should rather come up with real info when you call everyone else wrong and an "emotional blow hard", nobody needs factfree rudeness and name calling.

Well, one thing about nuclear war is that it'd pretty quickly separate the plastic from the metal. <-- just a joke, really, I promise!

Multiple EMP's will turn the world analog again...right? Isn't that a silent hope here?

    This forum gets weird fast.

Not for me, that shot's already been taken:

I offer no facts, because I have no affirmative claims to make. I suggest a range of possability; of how this EK thing will play out. This subjectivity requires no facts, and frankly most that have posted in this thread seems to have little or no knowledge that could be empirical.

I'm an empiricist, dealing with facts. I made no claims.

So where are your facts? It is sad that you let your emotion do the talking. Too many pessimists, and optimists here...where are the other realists?!?
Coming back home to my film roots. Canon EOS-3 SLR, Canon EOS 1V SLR, 580ex flash, and 5D DSLR shooter. Prime lens only shooter.

The thread has 25 pages by now and quite a few facts were provided by those you attacked in your posting, both by "pessimists" and "optimists". The vast majority of APUGers have shot Kodak film, some, including myself, like their emulsions a lot, so you shouldn't act surprised that the troubles at Kodak trigger an emotional debate. Given CGWs late contributions, the term "realist" has been devalued here quite a bit lately. You walked into this thread late, probably never bothered to read what has been written about this topic before, think everybody here is happy to eat some insults because our long wait for your superior insights is finally over.
