Calibrate your pre-flash to bring up your shadow detail, underexpose 1 stop, get a 1 stop push.

I'm only vaguely familiar with pre flash techniques, and I thought this was only done with B&W ... I do have a 4x5 now so I can try learning this pre-flash thing, but I'll have to figure out how to do it first and I think I'll start with just learning the camera first haha.

Thanks though, anything special I need to know for color transparency pre-flash?

^^^ In New York, they say the main thing is don't button your trench coat.
I do use a digital device in my photographic pursuits when necessary.
When someone rags on me for using film, I use a middle digit, upraised.

    Hey, a question for you:

If part of the Atlantic falls between Long Island and Connecticut, does it make a sound?

We are REALLY OT at this point, so I'll just hope that Ferrania makes a beautiful E-6 and I can catch the moment when the tides rise and the sound disappears and there's nothing to hear but the click of the shutter

I know this issue merely interests anyone here at Apug, but it has been reported by the press that Ferrania employees have not got wages for months now.

Suffer for the art of film ....

This is sarcasm. But explains how they plan to afford the production of E-6

But seriously this isn't good. Not a good sign nor a good start. I hope it is sorted out...

Stone, I was referring to Ferrania Technology not Film Ferrania. The latter is an entity only known at forums as ours...
