A neat short documentary on Kodachrome and Dwaynes. Not sure if this has been posted, but I just found it today.

It's all history now. Soon no one will remember the name Kodachrome.

Not long after that no one will remember the name Kodak.

The appropriate Paul Simon song should be, Slip Slidin' Away.

...and yet people still remember Daguerre, Fox-Talbot and George Eastman. Go figure.

    Cool link, thanks for posting.

Actually, Dufaycolor came out before Kodachrome. My Dad made Dufaycolor slides in 1931, which I have. They have pretty much faded to a weak red color. It certainly wasn't Kodachrome! I have Kodachrome 8mm movies from 1939, and they still look great. Sad it's gone, but, that's progress, I guess.

Moma don't take my Kodachrome away!
    Oops, Kodak just did!
