I do use a digital device in my photographic pursuits when necessary.
When someone rags on me for using film, I use a middle digit, upraised.

I am surprized that Kodak didn't do like almost every other manufacturer did, move all of the production to China. Then again, maybe they did and are not telling anyone

Unlike most manufacturing concerns they still made some stuff in the US, unlike many companies, they didn't move all manufacturing to China. The only companies that still manufacture in North America are Kodak and one where products are too heavy and/or bulky to ship...

But that transferring of production and employment to abroad shoud not only be an issue for manufacturers, but also for the government that controlls in-/export, and by that for those people that voted for that government. And, for those people who want cheaper products.
And for those people who want healthy relations with their neighbours by trading with eatch other.
    Things get complicated...

Kodak manufactured film in China, Australia, Brazil, Canada, England and France as well as having 2 plants in the US. At present, products are only manufactured in England and the US.

The China plant still runs under another name and produces films with obsolete Kodak formulas.

Offhand, IDK which Chinese label uses Kodak formulas. Besides, AFAIK the Chinese plant only made color film.

I know where there is a large stash of Tech Pan. I will never tell the true story behind it.

I should have driven up there just to hear the Tech Pan story...

If you're feeling generous perhaps you'll PM me the story
