Mixing a 5% solution?
Hi,
I need to make a 5% solution of Sodium Thiocyanate.
I have Sodium Thiocyanate 98% powder.
If anyone with chemistry experience can let me know the measurements would be much appreciated.
I looked up how to make a solution and quickly got confused.
Many thanks,
Peter

To make a 5% solution dissolve 5g of substance with Isopropyl alcohol to make 100 mL. You have 100mL of 5% solution.

Thanks for the reply. So just to confirm...
I'm making the solution as part of a C-41 Bleach recipe I'm mixing:
(Pot. Ferricyanide 90g, Pot. Bromide 20g, diSodium Phosphate 6.8g, Sod. Thiocyanate 5% Solution + Water to 1 litre)
So is it okay to include the Isopropyl alcohol to this mix?

Thiocyanate will not dissolve in i-propyl alcohol. Use water instead.
