    Samy's for slide processing

I always used Samy's for slide processing but the last batch was mounted crooked in the mounts so the sprocket holes show. I'm thinking of trying a different place. Who is the most reliable for 35mm slide processing?

Which Samy's location did you have your processing done at? I use the Samy's in Santa Barbara, but I do not do 35mm mine are all 120 and 4x5. I've had no issue at all at that location.

I sent them to Chapala street in Santa Barbara. Never had any trouble before but I'm quite annoyed as I cannot re-shoot these.

Sorry to hear that it was the Santa Barbara location. Again, I do not process 35mm with them so no track record for me there. However, I've been processing with them for about 4 years now without a hitch. I typically send two batches a month through them in MF & LF for E-6 processing.

Here is their email address you might send them an email to see if they can help you out. They've always been responsive to me on following up on orders I've sent them.

call them and let them know.

this lady does E-6, actually that's her business, E-6 . I now send her all of my E-6 film, and it's wonderfully processed, exactly as I ask it to be done.

Give them a chance to correct your problem and to correct the sloppy mounting. After all, its probably just one person who screwed up. Stuff happens.

I used to use Samy's myself, but switched to Praus Productions: http://www.4photolab.com

I just got back a second roll which was already in the mail when I got the crooked slides. It, too, has many of the slides showing the sprocket holes. The good news is that I was able to readjust all the crooked mounts by putting on gloves and just pinching and repositioning. But since their price has gone up as well I will probably try some of the suggestions in this thread. I noticed nobody mentioned Dwaynes. Did they stop developing all slides when they shut down Kodachrome?
