Can I reuse chemicals from the Kodak Single Use E6 Kit if ...

First of all I know that if 2 8x10 sheets requre 270ml of solution and I mix up and use 270ml then I can't reuse any of that (this is in a Jobo CPP2). My question is if I plan on shooting and processing 4 8x10 sheets over the weekend but I want to process them 2 at a time can I mix up 500ml of chemicals and run 2 through with the 500ml then the other 2 through with the same 500ml?

The capacities are stated per gallon. There is a minimum amount of chemistry too. Just divide the gallon capacities by 3.8 and you can process as many sheets in that 500ml as the capacity. It's stated as 33 sheets per 3.8 liters, so a little over 4 sheets per 500ml. I think you're fine.

I feel pretty good about the numbers, that 500ml can process 4 8x10 sheets, my concern is using that same 500ml twice.

ie I'm not splitting the 500ml into two 250ml batches and using each of those on 2 8x10 sheets but rather using the whole 500ml on 2 8x10 sheets then the next day using that same 500ml on another 2 8x10 sheets. I'm worried if there is any problems with cross-pollution, seems like there shouldn't be since there will be cross-pollution w/in the tank anyway on the 1st run...

no, use the 500ml twice. I believe you extend the times slightly. The details are in the kodak e6 publications.

I am certainly not an expert on E6 processes. But if I were you I would use 270 ml for the first two 8x10 sheets. Then use the 230 ml + 40 ml from the previous process. This way if I am compromising anything it would be only on the 40 ml of chemicals. I believe it is better to not let the 230 ml developer getting any oxidation through the process for the first two sheets. I have done plenty of C-41. This is what I would do.

As the name says, it is a Single Use Kit, the chemicals are a little different compared to the ones that can be replenished/regenerated as used in a continuous processing system. And, particularly the Colour (or 2nd-) developer duos not hold for an extended period.
