Try picking up a Canon 5D and maybe you'll kill Canon digital by 2010. Then we can get to work on all the other digital hardware brands, too.
I was using a digital SLR 5 years ago, only to end up using film almost exclusively. Maybe I am cursed! :o

And Jason, no worries. To date I haven't even so much as seen an actual roll of Tri-X.

I just had an inquiry about a film order @ B&H, this is what the agent tells me that is actually Kodak discontinuing the film so B&H doesn't re-stock this film.

Is that all formats or just 120? Adorama still has some. http://www.adorama.com/searchsite/de...rchinfo=E100GX I have been trying to get a hold of Kodak Professional to ask them but I can't get through.

I can't tell... Somebody pointed me out to 7dayshop.com:

"These are our final stocks as Kodak are now set to Discontinue GX range of films"

    Hah, very good.

I think it captures particularly well the thoroughly patronising ("share your memories of the products we can't be arsed to produce") tone of the Kodak release.
Another day goes under; a little bourbon will take the strain...

And now, in 2009, I start shooting Kodachrome, and since the discontinuation was considering trying E100GX as a "replacement." Also, Kentmere Kentona was one of my favorite papers for lith printing, and that too, has been discontinued.

    Sigh.

JBrunner suggested you dont shoot Tri-X. Let me add HP5+ to the list

Too late. HP5+ is one of my favorites and has been for 3 or 4 years now, so I think it's safe. It's TMAX 400 you're going to have to keep an eye on.
