Any film shooters in southern California? (I can recommend a good lab)
If anyone here lives in southern California, especially the "Inland Empire" area (San Bernardino, Riverside, Redlands, Colton, Fontanna, etc) and you are looking for a photo lab to develop your film, I can recommend a good place.
Sudden Photo Imaging in San Bernardino does a great job. I take all my color film there now. They develop pretty much everything...35mm, 120, 220, C-41, black and white, and even E-6. My pictures have always turned out great and my negatives always look clean - no spots, scratches, etc. I also know the manager and unlike most local photo labs, she is actually very experienced and knowledgeable about film photography. But unfortunately, they're just not getting enough film to process. Partly just because of the area where the lab is. They have no plans to stop developing film, but they do need more business.
I hope it's ok to post this. This is NOT advertisement. I really do take all my color film to this place.
If anyone is looking for local photo lab, here is the address:
Sudden Photo Imaging
667 West 2nd Street
San Bernardino, CA 92410
It's a small, local photo lab. But even if you live outside of the area, you might consider sending your film to them. I've asked if they could accept film by mail, and they said they could.
Actually man i really appreciate this. Its really important that we support quality labs, our lack of support is why there are so few left. Also thanks because i've been really needing to find a lab in the inland empire. Im going to be trying to incorporate more film work in the weddings i second shoot on with my Mamiya RZ and really need a dependable lab. I just cant keep developing that much color negative at home.
Do you know if they are still around?
