Ever thought of a use of a light yellow filter?

It says he shot 10x8 colour, that must narrow things down I think.

Look like negative film with poor filtering to me. The last image is the only decently filtered one (maybe a touch of yellow in excess as it appears here). A slide, any slide, would ordinarily not produce so wrong sky colours, unless there are some factors at work such as cross-processing, expired film, expired chemistry, long time elapsed between capture and development.
