I checked the norms and it appears you are correct.
A resumé for Italian readers is here:
    http://www.101professionisti.it/101/...omunitari.aspx

Recently I bought a device in France and was not charged the TVA notwithstanding the purchase being made as final user. I guess I was lucky, but the site explicitly said TVA would not have been charged for shipping outside France. That raised some long forgotten memory about VAT exemption in intracomunitarian exchanges.

In case you are interested, the product I bought was a dental irrigator, produced by Broxo, sold through their "European shop" at eu.broxo.com.

But that is not the intended way to do it, as developer replenisher is not developer.
To gain developer, a mix of starter and developer has to be made. The same applies to bleach replenisher.

    EU-VAT

-) Consumers located in a EU-country buying goods from a dealer located in another EU-country have to pay VAT of the country of the dealer.

(Commercial clients would be billed without VAT, but would have to pay the VAT of their EU-country.)

-) exceeds the net value a certain limit (depending on country 30,000€ - 100,000€) the seller must fiscally register in the country of destination and the VAT of the latter is added.

-) the seller can in cases of value lesser than above apply in the country of destination to bill the VAT of the country destination.

I assume none of the latter two regulations would apply to us Apuggers. Either by lack of magnitude of order, or by lack of compliance of the seller. (In the latter the difference of VAT must of course be positive and of a magnitude that it pays off the hassle.)

Is there any way to start a new thread on this for the US consumers (like me?) I've already started a "bitch" because I'm just frustrated in general, there's too much info and it's all scattered here...

    http://www.apug.org/forums/showthrea...ferrerid=59230

But it's probably not in the right location nor is it any better than this thread except that it's new. A lot of the "useful" info on this thread is now old and wrong, it was started 2 years ago now... is there current and concise info? anyone with a web site want to setup a page to host updated info that's more like a single page of resources for this stuff? like UK, Americas, Australia and then sub info about E-6 and C-41? especially E-6 as it seems much harder to find good info on that, at least there are still C-41 kits available from like freestyle etc that are more than 3 bath.

If someone writes the page up I'll host it on my site and update it once a month if someone just sends me the page, simple is fine like a text list of updated info.

Transactions of second-hand wares between Apuggers would not fall within the VAT domain unless the seller has a VAT number registered as seller of photographic goods.

StoneNYC, your links in post #84 and #87 are not accessible by APUG members (they work but the server refuses access).

OH I bet that's a forum for paid members only, hmm I'll have to ask where else it can be moved by the moderators, how do I do that anyone know?

No wonder not many are participating...

Stone, I started this thread out of the same frustration, and I still buy the same stuff from the same places I originally posted. I am not going to spend my time researching new places, but you are welcome to, which is the entire point of this thread: to be updated as needed by people across different regions and as availability changes. If you find new suppliers, list them here, but what chemicals are needed for each process hasn't changed. The quantities you can buy them in may have, but not the steps.
