    Some how you need to tell the analyzer the paper speed. I've got a colorstar3000 that I'm using for lith printing timing. It's fairly simple to setup the 3000 for B&W printing. I'd ignore all the Y,M,C settings and try and figure out the density setting for your analyzer.

    it actually doesn't take much testing with B&W.

    I'm just going to reiterate that it is best to train your eye to be the judge. When I test, I do so for only the most important highlight in the negative rather than strips across the entire negative.
