    Old Schneider Lens

I have an old Schneider Componon f5.6 135mm enlarging lens, and a Beseler 45MXT I need to affix it to. I have a 39mm lensboard, but I think this is a 32.5mm lens (much smaller)... I this the Leica size, or can someone tell me what to get to make the pair work?

    Thanks in advance.

Easier to buy a used lens board or make one out of Masonite or aluminum. Maybe someone makes an adapter?

I should of asked, what are the measurements of the lens and the hole of the board you have? Do you have the retaining ring for the lens?

Your lens is indeed a 32.5x0.5 thread. Are there any machine shops in your area that could fab one for you? Fotch has a good idea, you can try that route first, and if it doesnt work try having an adapter made.

Just thought of contacting Besseler themselves,I believe they still make parts for that machine

There are adaptors, not sure how common they might be now. SK Grimes would be a good place to check (see the sponsor list).

I've seen adaptors for these and for the 25mm mount lenses on eBay, but I have the impression that they are uncommon.

Get the masonite, drill the hole, mount the lens.

Thanks folks. Kind of thought that was the situation. Down to the workshop, then...
