35mm enlarger - so can't do MF?

I am currently using an LPL 3301D enlarger, which is 35mm only. Or so it says: is it still possible to do MF with it? Would it just require an MF neg carrier? Does "35mm only" mean an MF carrier wouldn't fit?

35mm only = 35mm only

There may be modifications that you can do to certain models, but generally, I would say, "no". Enlarging an entire medium format frame will not be possible with a "35mm-only" enlarger.

The lamp house and bellows assembly is made small for compactness and will not light up a negative larger than 35mm so its more than just the negative carrier. The entire enlarger needs to be larger.

I don't know how it is in Japan, but here in the U.S. enlargers are pretty cheap at the moment. I'm using and LPL D6700 and it will do up to 6x7 and is still a pretty small package for an enlarger. I would not even try and modify yours, even if you could, I'd just buy a used 6x6 or 6x7 enlarger. If you have the space you can run the two enlargers. I have enough room for my LPL D6700 and two Omega D3 enlargers, but that it. JohnW

You not only have to change carrier but also the condensor or light box diffuser and the enlarger lens.
I have just for sale a Durst Laborator 1200 with Multigraph head where you change the Femoboxes from 35mm, 66, 69 and 4x5". Complete with El Nikkor 50mm, Rodenstock 80mm and 150mm for resp. 35mm, medium format 67 and for sheet film 4x5".
