Contrast masking

If you use masking on a regular basis, get a pin registration system. I use the one made by my friend Lynn Radeka. You'll find him on the web by searching for his name.

Thanks for this. I was actually just thinking about Lynn Radeka's systems. I didn't know it could be adapted to 35mm. Will look into it.

This is the product I was thinking of.

Easy-to-use contrast masking is perfect for improving the image in Type "R" prints or other reversal materials such as CIBACHROME, ILFOCOLOR or color slide duplication. MinitMask is light sensitive glass. When exposed by powerful electronic flash, it will hold a temporary image, suitable for photo masking. The mask image fades down and should be used immediately, or reflashed before reprinting, to rebuild the image. MinitMask reduces contrast, improves highlight detail, midtones and more open shadows.
