    Hi Trond,

    Are those carriers or masks? They look way too thin for my enlarger unless they sit in a further holder/carrier that then sits in the enlarger head. Theres a gap of a bout 2.75cm for the carrier.
    And its a solid head so doesnt flex to fit the carrier, it would just slide stright in.

    I'll take some images a bit later of the enlarger.

    Oh and thank your friend for me for the images.

    I talked to my friend again, and is seems that they are masks. He will take a couple of photos of the holder as well.

    Fingers crossed that Mr Cad in London can sort me out. They think they might have the holder I need. Same as the L1000 apparently.

    The Beast......

    Also noticed it missing its red filter.

    That's good news!

    I wouldn't worry about the red filter. I never use them myself.

    Darn it.

    Mr Cad sent me the neg carrier today for a grand total of $65/£42.
    Should have known at that price I was asking for trouble.
    I'd sent them images of the enlarger and neg carrier I thought I'd need so they sent me.......

    Its gone straight back to them this morning to see if they have anything else.

    And there was me all excited when it arrived first thing......on a downer now.

    Sorry to hear about the holder.

    I just got the photos of the Laborator 54 holder.

    I can just make out it says Otoneg 2.

    Thanks Trond and friend.

    From the LargeFormatPhotograhy forum.....

    "I think that you need an OTONEG, OTONEG-2, or maybe a TAUNEG negative carrier. These are also compatible with the Laborator 1000. Like Leitz, Durst uses code names for many of their parts, and from what I understand they go as follows:

    OTO => Laborator 54
    TAU => Laborator 1000
    FEMO => Laborator 1200
    LATI => Laborator 138/S-45
    LA => Laborator 184

    So, an "OTOCON" is a condensor for a Laborator 54, a "TAUNEG" is a negative carrier for an L1000, and a "LATICO" is a condensor for an L-138."

    One Tauneg 5x4 neg holder for £30. Needs a bit of a clean and some new AN glass.
