Anyone going to APIS in Santa Fe in July?

Well, it looks like I'm going to APIS in July after all. It would be great to meet up with any other Ape-huggers out there also planning to attend. Maybe I'll even have the vertical 12x20 ready to bring along, if my parts camera I just got works out.

APIS stands for the Alternative Photographic International Symposium. This year it will be held in Sante Fe, New Mexico, USA -- put on by Bostick and Sullivan.

I went several years ago (it has been alternating between Sante Fe and England) and I enjoyed it very much.

Here is the B and S website address:

You can link to more info from there.

    Hi to all,

Ok, if you are going to twist my arm. Apis 1999, College of Santa Fe, 2001 St. Johns College, 2003/05 down town, and now 2007. Ok, I'll go. Besides people like Kenro Izu, Ron Partridge, and Kim Weston. Plus alot of the usual suspects. Maybe? William Crawford 'Keepers of Light', he came last year.

Name a process, and you my find thay you are not the only one doing it. For a lot of us it is a great way to catch-up and see new work. Oh and don't forget the print swap {bring a print wraped and get a print back. It's a fun time. See you all in Santa Fe

Andrew Smith, from the Andrew Smith Gallery is also hosting a party, exclusively for APIS participants. If you don't know about his gallery, I would put it in the top 5 galleries for photography in the United States, or perhaps the world.

His parties are legendary in Santa Fe, so this is definitely a do-not-miss!
