Try first call photographic in the UK as they have a good description. I can't put the link as I haven't enough posts yet.

Just had a look at Camlab's prices - £31.44 for 500g of potassium dichromate as opposed to the £11.05 I paid for the same grade. Most of their prices appear to have a similar markup compared to some of the other suppliers out there. Possibly due to the local market Camlab have (high end research labs) along with quality assurance and traceability.

Dichromates can not be sent by post (see Royal Mail's prohibited goods list). As for shipping the stuff via airmail....paperwork....hazchem...no-fly....

Is 'LR' or laboratory quality chemical good enough ? There seem to be many grades but this seems the cheapest.

    Give Abbey Chemicals a try:

    http://www.abbey-chemicals.co.uk/ind...roducts_id=378

I have purchased P. Dichromate from them in the past, although it is a minimum of 500g. If you want to do cyanotype and possibly silver based processes, they have many of the other chemicals too and 'dilutes' the postage costs.

I wondered recently if it would be easier to sell/ ship say a 10% Pot. Di solution rather than the raw chemical. Although having it in solution could be restrictive, for carbon and gum I could live with it if it meant I could get a regular supply.

    Best regards,

    Evan
