Negs for albumen with PMK.
Hey,
I'm wondering if you all might help me out. I'm processing HP5+ (sheets) in PMK for 11 min (constant agitation). Can someone confirm that a N+2 for silver printing is about N for albumen.
Obviously I'd test but my starting point would then be ~ 15'24"?
Thank you

Really? No one has a guess?!?

Yes, N+2 for silver is about N for albumen, but I doubt you'll get it with HP5+ and PMK. Try ABC if you find PMK isn't doing it for you.

David,
Would you please explain why PMK + HP5 might not give me what I need?
I'm not doubting I'm just curious.

PMK produces a fair amount of background stain, which isn't a bad thing for small formats, because it enhances the grain masking effect, but it also reduces contrast somewhat, and that becomes more of an issue when you are trying to get enough density range for albumen.
