If you strike out in trying to get a replacement part, then you might remove it and try a repair yourself. Surely you can remove it if you're interested in a replacement. From your pic the cracked part might be either metal or plastic, but in either case you should be able to inject some epoxy cement in the crack so it's not unstable. It may not look pretty but should function OK. The pic shows not only the crack but also shows some deformation, but the deformation might be due to being under a load as installed, and removal of the part might allow the deformation to disappear enough to make a more aesthetic repair.

I'm in the US, so sadly many are out of reach.

I've considered a repair, but a botched job will eliminate using this at all, so some insurance in having at least the ability to replace the part should I completely screw up a repair. And it is plastic, so a much less simple fix than if it was metal. I may just have my machinist fabricate a replacement in metal, and I'm wishing I'd just done that from day 1 now.

pdfs are still dead for me.

My easel arrived yesterday, in nice shape, it needs a new gas spring though.
I've just tried the contact form on their website and will see...

Yeah, that one will not accept the code I input at the bottom of the page. I've tried it twenty times now. Oh well. Anyone interested in this thing? I've had enough.
