Depending on whether it is an early or late model, it is going to be 150W or 300W 120V halogen lamps. The difference is that the later model has metal heat shields (baffle plate) to the left and right site of the lamp units, to protect the plastic outer cover.
Here is some Ilford documentation I recently posted in another thread regarding these heat shields and lamps:
"The nineteenth century began by believing that what was reasonable was true, and it wound up by believing that what it saw a photograph of, was true.
" - William M. Ivins Jr.
"I don't know, maybe we should disinvent color, and we could just shoot Black & White.
" - David Burnett in 1978
"Analog is chemistry + physics, digital is physics + math, which ones did you like most?
My MG 500 head uses the ELH 120 volt/300 watt lamp. Should be readily available from places like Ebay, etc.
Google for ELH 120V 300W or ELH 120V 150W
You can order the bulbs in Holland or Germany for about 8 euros.
I will order enough bulbs for my MG500 before some european politician prohibits the use of these "non-eco"-lamps
In september I'll be visiting Thy
Thierry , just the problem actually, my old enlarger use ad 2non-eco" bulb so upgrading...
