Componon S180 or 210 for 6x17?
I am currently looking for a used 13x18 enlarger. I have recently had the opportunity to buy two late vintgage Componon S lenses (180 and 210mm)
in mint condition. Eighty per cent of my photography is 6x17 negatives, the
rest beeing 5x7 cropped to 85x170 mms (1:2). Would the 180 mm lens be adequate for the above mentioned negative sizes? I would appreciate any
comment from somebody with actual experience. I do not intend to enlarge
larger than 16x20.

The 180mm Componon should be fine Scneider state it's made to cover 130mm x 180mm, I actually use a 210 for my 6x17's because that's what came with my enlarger and that almost covers a 10x8 negative.
