I'm 5' 9''. There is an XL version, but I don't know how to tell if this is one. I need to find a manual for the analyzer to see if it works properly.

The comment was in jest Greg, that's the standard height you are stood legs bent leaning over next to the enlarger I set mine into the ground slightly by digging a small pit for the feet as that was the only way I could get it into the darkroom, I had to remove a ceiling joist as well

On a more practical note it's far easier using a 240mm lens when enlarging 10x8 negatives, the height etc needed with a 300mm lens makes it more difficult with smaller enlargements.

No offense taken, Ian. I have a 240 Componon-S, I just need to mount it onto the lens board. The analyzer has settings depending on the lens focal length, but it jumps from 210 to 300. I don't know if that will cause a problem.

    Greg,

I like how this great monster of a machine has taken the place of the drum scanner, laying in a pool of its own digital-blood on the floor .

    just kidding, have fun!
