I think you should look for Opemus 6 or Magnifax 4
I agree, Opemus 6 (or 7) is 6x6 (6x7) and Magnifax 4 is 6x9 (cm) both much better build enlargers and also medium format.

At the moment Rodenstock or Schneider M39x1mm are also not very expensive or go for the earlier mentioned Meogon type enlarger lenses.

I would not buy the Axomat 3, there are much better enlargers and lenses to find.

The Opemus 6 (6x6)and the Magnifax 4 (6x9)are much more solid than the venerable Axomat. I had/have them all and prefer the Magnifax 4 a lot.

If you consider to look for a Opemus 6 or a Magnifax 4 (with condensor head) 2 hints from me

There are 2 versions of the Opemus 6, look for the one with the filter tray. Otherwise you can only use filters below the lens

If you are interested in the Magnifax 4 make sure that you get the condensor for MF too. You can still buy the condensor for 35 mm but the MF condensor is hard to find.

I would agree with the above, the opemus 3 is a good enlarger, but I would agree that an opemus 6 or, if you can find one, the manigfax is the better buy, and as for lens I woud go for a good 6 element, Enikor,or an older Erokkor from Minolta, there are bargains to be had out there Richard

You should pay something like 15 EUR for the Anaret, this is considered a high price here in Poland (price without lensboard).

    I've spotted an Opemus 6 for 55€ plus 37€ shipping equals 92€.
Plus another 80€ for a decent lens (Nikon El-Nikkor 50/2.8) grand total 172€.

Way too much for what I have at the moment.
The prices aren't very low actually.

At Ebay.de you can find a Schneider Componon and a Minolta lens (50 mm) ending soon. Prices very low at the moment. At Ebay.it a Opemus 6 with Meopta lenses can be found
