Cleaning old containers that had cibichrome chems in
Howdy,
I discovered (by the labels stuck on from the previous owner) that the containers for my cpe-2 had cibichrome chemicals in them. If I look inside, I can see some real crusty staining.
Does anyone have any suggestions to clean these containers? Dilute sulfuric acid?
Cheers

How about Edwal tray and tank cleaner http://www.adorama.com/CHETTRC32.html or this might work http://www.porters.com/film-darkroom...over-2-oz.html
or you could try chlorine bleach followed with dish detergent all used with hot water.

The bleach can be nasty. It is very acidic and it is suggested that Sodium Carbonate be used first to neutralize any residue. Then go on and clean as normal. The developer and fix can be treated as other B&W chemistry.
