    That was when you actually had to think before taking a photograph. I wonder how many of those guys took pictures of their meals with those beasts, to show their friends

    They were the really skilled ones not like some of today point and shoot characters who don't know the difference between an 'F' stop and a bus stop.

    I have two Graflex SLRs and two Graphic press cameras. They're a lot of fun to use and practically bullet-proof. One of my Graflexes is 82 years old and still going strong.

    A collector in San Francisco has a few Graflex SLR's listed on Craigslist if you are interested including a 5x7 press Graflex.
