Converting an airplane hangar into a camera.

I shoot digital when I have to (most of those shots end up here) and film (occasionally one of those shots ends up here) when I want to.

I believe that hanger was also eventually demolished, making it the World's Largest Single-Use Disposable Camera...

"There is very limited audience for the arty stuff, and it is largely comprised of other arty types, most of whom have no money to spend because no one is buying their stuff either. More people bring their emotions to an image than bring their intellect. The former are the folks who have checkbooks because they are engineers, accountants, and bankers—and generally they are engineers, accountants and bankers because they are not artists."

wish i could see it in person ..
    liquid light is fun stuff
( this image has been on the rockland colloid site for a long time )

i hope viewing distance is good where they are showing it ..
images like this are hard to view up close ( like an impressionist painting or pinhole image or soft focus stuff )
at a certain distance everything falls into place and it looks great ...

i am the same way ...

knowing how it is not easy to coat a 11x14 sheet of paper or canvas with a bit of liquid emulsion,
and these folks used 21 gallons to coat something 107x31 FEET .. yup, its pretty impressive

I recall hearing about this, but I never saw the photograph nor have read an article about it. Thanks for the post omaha. "Washed with fire hoses." - Mama mia!
