I have a 4x5 Shen and it folds with a 150 schneider without any problem at all.

Yes, my Shen 4x5 also folds nicely with both Fujinon-W 150/6.3 in Seiko 0 and Angulon 90/6.8 in Synchro-Compur-P.

    A board-inverted, lens covered 9 1/2 Dagor fits perfect in a folded Wisner 8x10.

I keep a 135mm Schnieder Symmar (the old convertible) lens on my 4x5 Tachihara when folded. Although not a wood field, I keep a 12" Commercial Ektar on my 8x10 Kodak Master View.

I came across a Toyo CF at a price I couldn't resist, so I bought it. Looks like the lens can remain on the board while the camera is folded.

I'd looked at the CF a long time ago and I figured that it wasn't right for me, but now that I've looked again I think it will work nicely. Time will tell!
