Dial-Compur aperture pointer

Look at the picture. Which side of the aperture pointer should one use? It's important to know, especially when using small apertures since the scale isn't linear.

It's always where the end of the pointer is, which happens as Dan says to be A. Its a very neat precise indicator on those older shutters.
