    Which 90mm should I sell?

    hi everyone,

due a recent camera pruchase I currently own two 90mm lenses. I have to sell one since I can't afford to keep both. It's 1). a f6.8 MC rodenstock grandagon 90mm and 2). a f5.6 90mm Schneider not multicoated.

the first is off course slightly darker, and has a somewhat tiner image circle.
the second is older and not multicoated. I have tested them once, and the grandagon seemed a bit sharper, but then again, all these lenses are sharp and good. So what would you do?

    thanks, best regards game

Keep the Grandagon, I have both a Grandagon f6.8 MC and a Single coated f8 SA, the Multicoating makes a huge difference shooting into the light/sun.

I would keep the brighter one, since the difference between MC and SC is negligible compared to ease of focus. Even shooting into the sun the difference is minimal.

They're almost equivalent in terms of performance or, they should be nearly so. Assuming that they are both in about the same cosmetic condition, I'd keep the one with the newer, cleaner looking shutter...from the sounds of it, that'd be the Grandagon. If one has obvious signs of damage or mis-handling, filter ring dents fro example, I'd dump the damaged one and never look back.

Game whichever one you decide to sell let me know the price you want, I would not mind either and need one so if I can afford it we may be able to help each other out.

    Regards Paul.

I have a 90 mm Grandagon and it is an excellent lens. I would keep that one unless prints from your Schneider are obviously superior.
