    Linhof tripod questions

As I mentioned in another post, I just got this old Linhof tripod. There is a sticker that says model 350R and on the center collum it says model 169. On top of the center collum is a fairly normal looking tilt and dip tripod head. There is only Linhof markings on the tripos and the center. Can anybody tell med when this type of tripod was produced. Is there other types of centers that can be mounted ? Gennerally what types of accessories are there for this tripod. I will try to post pictures later.

It seems to be the same as this, but with the center collum and head.

The one in the picture looks to be a "Heavy Duty Pro" model, it's still produced pretty much unchanged, except they are black now. There is also a "light duty" pro which is similar in that it has double legs, but is not as massive. For the Heavy Duty Pro, I believe the only center column currently available is the geared one. FWIW, the sticker on mine reads "S-420R", it's an older tan model similiar to the one in the picture, but I have no idea how old it is.

Here's a pointer to some more information from the U.S. distributer; http://www.hpmarketingcorp.com/linhof.html

Mine is massive. I would guess it weighs about 20-25 kg. Truely heavy duty. It just needs some of the rubber thingies.

Any indications that could tell the age of the tripod. I got it together with a Sinar Norma that is from the late fifties.
