This is the first glimpse of a prototype Chamonix 57N-1 horizontal only camera. It came out last night. The cameras will be ready in about two months. The 5x7 cameras with reversible back will follow shortly.

Oh, I am so doomed -- my better half is going to shoot me if I buy one of these 5x7s.

I think some moonlighting is in order...

I have added some words on the camera Chamonix 5×8" to my website after using it for almost 8 months.

    Here are the links:
    www.vasina.net/?p=94 for the first part
www.vasina.net/?p=711 for the update after 8 months, and also first impressions of the 4×5" reduction back.

I can't understand the confusion over Chamonix cameras, the information is clearly stated right here.
Everytime I find a film or paper that I like, they discontinue it. - Paul Strand - Aperture monograph on Strand
