    Linhof/Schneider/Compur cell/shutter questions

I got a box of stuff from a friend that had a pair of Linhof Schneider lenses in different Compur shutters.

    127/4.7 Press/Xenar in Synchro-Compur
    6.8/90 Angulon in Compur Rapid

    The Angulon/Rapid has a flaky 'B' function.

They appear to have the same thread size.

Other than the f/# difference, does anyone know if the cells can be swapped and be properly spaced so I can use the Angulon in the other shutter?

Oh, I just figured out why the caliper measurements of front-to-rear thickness were not comparable between the two lenses...the cells are not the same height, regardless of whether or not the shutter body is.

If the cells FIT, and I get the same F-R measurement for the same cell pair in both shutters, I'm good.

If anyone has 'been there, done that', I'd still appreciate hearing that it does or doesn't work, even if I have already answered my own question.

34.01 mm front-to-rear measurement for the Angulon (no-name digital caliper), by the way.

    Thanks

Pretty much what you imagined, measure, swap and remeasure, shim as neccesary. Aperture can be measured using the same digital calipers as well....
