Removing a Schneider helical mount

I've searched but cannot find any info anywhere.

Can anyone explain how it's done?

IF it's like the mount on a Graflex XL it's a leaf shutter in a helical.
1)Remove the rear group.
2)IF(see above) there should be a retaining ring holding the shutter in place. Remove it & the shutter will drop out.

I guess I could have given a better description. The Schneider lens is a modern 58mm XL with a Copal 0 shutter and the helical was fitted by Silvestri, but I guess it's just a standard Schneider focus mount.

I'm a complete newbie at this but have discovered that the front group unscrews from the shutter and I can see one screw head on the shutter.

If the screwhead is visible and in a groove or slot on the face of the shutter, it's probably a locking screw used to keep a retaining ring in place.
If you remove the screw, then the ring, you're going to be looking at the inside of the shutter. I don't think you want to go there
Still think your best shot is from the back.

I've done it, with a little assistance from Schneider. Just release the three screws that attach the helical mount to the Silvestri bayonet and unscrew the rear of the lens. The mount is held by the same ring that holds the lens to a lens-board normally. You do need an adjustable shutter key/wrench/spanner as the flat type are too wide to insert into the rear of the helical mount.
