Where and what's the best way to get a "casket" set?

Like everything else - from misrepresented auctions on local ebay.
One of mine was under "metal objects" in "Art and Antiques" on German ebay.

But the fastest way is to search for one, and be prepared to pay for one. After I had accumulated enough to begin to think of it as a "collection", I have been more prepared to pay "full price" for specially good ones. I still haven't managed to convince myself to pay several thousand dollars for a Protar Ser. VII Objektiv-Satz no. 2, though...

Wow! I guess I asked a question way too close to leaving for a vacation where I would not have access to a computer. I really expected for a couple of people to post a few links for me to read. I wasn't having much luck with my "key words".

So, I guess I will start from the first post. Clarification, I may not have written the first post too clearly so I will try again. I didn't/don't understand the mathematics of lens combinations. For the lens I was using as a example (105mm) I thought the focal length of each of the two elements would equal the focal length of the overall lens. As in, front=65mm, back=40mm equaling a 105mm, or some combination. I quickly found this not to be true. Also questioning, if you were to find two rear elements of a larger focal length, would they be compatible with each other in the same shutter. Being that the rear elements screw right in.

I have no idea what the term "OP" means. Doesn't sound good. I am assuming it is like "JW" in woodworking. (Junior woodworker) not real nice when dealing with someone trying to learn.

I have no idea what a "Plasmat" is. Like another user mentioned, I was not born with this knowledge as other may have been.

Dan, sorry to bore the crap out of you, you don't have to respond to it if the subject is beneath you. Take a nap! I was also under the impression that this site was as much of a learning tool as it was a gathering of people with alike interest. Just because some people have been doing photography for years and decades longer than others isn't to say that they have a stronger passion for the subject. I wouldn't be asking stupid questions if I didn't want to learn. Someone once said "There are no stupid questions", maybe I am lame enough to believe this. For the record, I don't give a whole lot of advice here or have a lot of posts because I am learning and will not chime in unless I am pretty damn sure I am right about it. It seems like you are well respected around here and was quite surprised at your post.

My username "Jerk151" originally just "Jerk" back when The Bay first started up so people could get a laugh when selling stuff. How often do you get to say "Thanks Jerk" without pissing someone off. "151" was added at some point when "Jerk" was taken and I had a drink in my hand with 151 Rum in it. I'm a pretty light hearted guy and like to be the brunt of the joke if I can laugh at it too.

All and all, I do "Just want to take pictures" but I am broke as a joke, have an abundance of good enlarger lenses at my disposal, purchased lots of shutters I have repaired to working order and like to put something in them. Just wondering if I had something here that would work, but ultimately would like to know "Why" it works if that is going to be the way I do it. So far I have been surprisingly happy that I was not able to afford a lens when I got the camera to begin with because it forced me to learn something about it before just going out and pulling the trigger. Thanks to a Apuger I have a starter lens but it's just inspired me to have more. I'm trying to be a sponge and soak up all this info as quickly as possible, but I need to squeeze some of the alcohol out to make room so it's a slow process.

And yes, there are stupid questions. Some examples:

1: Someone just wants to hear himself talk.
2.) Grad level students who can't possibly have ever gotten a degree and not know the answer to simple, say engineering, questions. Drove me nuts as an undergrad having to sit through repetitious explanations of the most obvious in grad level classes.
C.) Questions that can be answered by just sitting back and thinking the problem out instead of always taking the short cut of some one else's knowledge.

Not that I am making any declarations of your question, I am not. But the question of are you lame or not? That might be a stupid question. *L*

k_jupiter, thanks for the definition of OP but as for the rest of your comments I'm not sure I understand. Honestly, it's probably not the question that is stupid in your examples, but may have been better suited to be asked in a different place at a different time (earlier classes). I use this site to learn because the subscription is a whole lot cheaper than going to school (which I can't find time or money for) to learn this sort of thing. Nor do I have the funds to buy dozens of books on the subject as all of my extra money goes to buying film and accessories for my cameras. I have even cut down on one of my most treasured times and that is a enjoying a nice cold stout beer, in order to buy more photo gear. Sorry to those that feel some questions are repetitive or boring, I do search before asking. I guess if you see a post that is either of these and feel "What a drag" ,skip it and move along to something that interests you.

Not being able to hear a persons tone of voice when reading a statement makes me question whether I should laugh at myself with your last comment or if you were just insulting me.
