    G.A.S.

I thought it would be fun to see what other's GAS attacks look like. So, I'm starting it off with this one. I could call it "A Gaggle of Graflexes". In my case, clearly, GAS stands for Graflex Acquisition Syndrome. What's yours?

Holy crapola, Dan! That is beautiful!

Is that a 5x7 on the bottom right? If so (and even if not), drool, drool...

Let me wait to get my 8x10 Grover in the mail, then I'll take a pic of the stable. Unfortunately, my 5x7 No. 2 is in the shop getting new bellows made (Western Bellows), and I won't have it back for about a month. Too bad, as it is by far the prettiest one that I have.

:-) Thanks. I've been planning on thinning out the herd but seeing them this way makes me reluctant to do so.

Wish it were a 5x7 - it's just a 4x5 Anniversary - around 1942-1943. I realized I forgot my GV II in this shot - I guess I'll need to redo it. And now I need to find a 5x7 (not to mention a Graflex National) in the name of completeness. (I do have a Graflex 22 but couldn't bring myself to include it.) Actually, my next big purchase will hopefully be a B&J or Ansco 4x5 (or 5x7 with 4x5 back) field camera.

You sell one of them, I'll disown you. Beautiful collection, man. Impressive.
    Thank you

Well, if you do thin the herd, I have been looking for the "right" 2x3 Graphic for a while now. I am waiting to jump until I find the exact twin for my '54 4x5 model: a side-RF Pacemaker Speed with Graflok back that is complete with case, flash, and 101mm Ektar lens. Maybe some day you can either provide one, or lead me to one, since you are obviously very good at finding them...

I sold my GVII...boo. I wasn't using it much any more and needed the money to finance some glass for the Sinar I had just picked up in a sweet trade. I had wanted a Sinar for years, and I am glad I got it and some good glass for it, but I miss that beautiful GVII. Very light, yet perfectly solid and capable. It has to be one of the greatest monorails for backpacking...not to mention that it is a cosmetic work of art; the best looking 4x5 ever made in my book. I never would have sold it if it had been a Graflok back model, but it was a spring back. I got a measly $180 for it. Oh well. I got a 240mm DB lens for my Sinar with it, and still had enough left over for a nice dinner with my lady friend. I am simultaneously hopping with joy and disgusted at the prices of Sinar DB equipment right now!

BTW: Are any of your Graphics equipped for H/Rs as opposed to Graflites?

As far as "view" cameras go, I have the following motley:

    Pacemaker side-RF 4x5 Speed Graphic, 127 and 180 lenses
    Sinar C, 90, 121, 210, 240, 360 DB lenses
Eastman View No. 2 (5x7) - in the shop right now for new bellows
Bender 8x10, purchased cheap pre built. It is such a horribly useless camera that I am modifying it extensively to be a folding field camera.
Kodak 2D 8x10 with Ilex 360 lens - loaned out after I only shot a few frames with it. I look forward to getting it back
    B & J Grover 8x10 with two reduction backs, 540mm Kodak lens
Mamiya Super 23 and Universal with ground glass viewer. Say what you want; these *are* view cameras when equipped with the glass!

I'm immune to G.A.S. Got a Zone VI two lens 4x5 outfit in the mail over 25 years ago and haven't added to it since. My condolences to you all...

Aw, Murr. Yer missin' out on all the fun. And the agility practice. Frying pans hurtled at you at an insane rate of speed when you just spent the kids lunch money on a Holga on eBay keeps you limber.
    Thank you
