Looking for Jorge Gasteazoro

Hello to all,

This is my first post here. I am hoping to get some help finding out about Jorge Gasteazoro. I am hoping to find out if anyone has spoken to him lately. Perhaps he has gotten sick.

Over a month ago I bought some Hasselblad camera equipment from him through eBay. I paid him the money directly via paypal and I've never received it. I sent him the money on June 19, 2008.

I had read some posts from him here and/or on the LFF forum from back in 2006 where he explained he had cancer so I'm wondering if something bad has happened to him or if anyone here knows him personally who can verify his status.

I am certain that being such a prominent member of these forums he didn't simply steal my money so I wanted to inquire here to see if anyone knows if he's ok or what the problem might be. At this point I have filed a claim with paypal and they ruled in my favor but have been unable to rescue the funds for me.

Again, I'm concerned about his health. Initially, he emailed me but since I paid him I have emailed him many many times and even called his telephone number and have not gotten any response.

I'll be very grateful for any feedback or help on this.

Jorge isn't a member of this forum any longer, enough said. He does post still on the Large Format forum although very infrequently now. I know from experience that post from Mexico isn't fast, he may have been away from home so hopefully you'll here something soon.

Post a question on the other forum he was last active there today, about 2hrs ago !!!

Thanks for the reply. He had written to me confirming the total and after I sent him the money he told me it would be shipped via FedEx but he never sent me a tracking code and I never heard from him again after I sent him the money. I would think that since he used FedEx there wouldn't be the same delay problem as there might have been with Mexican Post.

A search of the LF forum indicated Jorge's last post was on July 12th

Click on his profile and you can see when he was last active, ie on the Forum - Last Activity: Today 17:24. Some people lurk & don't post
