My specific concern: with this or similar 4x5 field camera on a Really Right Stuff QR head, is there enough clearance beneath the camera's bed to operate the QR knob; or do I need to go with the QR lever, which is lower profile (ie, no thicker than the flat QR receiver?

    Thanks all.

My markins head with knob works fine. From the website looks like it should be fine, but why not ask them?

NB If you have some plates look at the fine print at the bottom of the website http://reallyrightstuff.com/QR/03.html, to whit "NOTE ABOUT LEVER-RELEASE CLAMPS: Due to wide variations in other brands of Arca-Swiss compatible plates, we recommend using our lever-release clamps only with Really Right Stuff or Wimberley brand quick-release plates....."

I've got a BH-55 with a Pro-II clamp and it's a little tight but works fine on my Chamonix.
