Whooee! I got an 8x10!
I have just aquired an 8x10 Korona View camera that looks in reasonable shape. The bellows have been repaired - it looks like they knew what they were doing. My sweetie is crafting a lens board to take my 240mm lens. I'll post pictures of it soon. I'm going to need film holders. Anyone got a couple kicking around, looking for a good home?

Congratulations and Welcome to the Club! You're gonna love it!

I just received the same camera, with a brass petzval type lens...looks like we're in the same boat!
Holders come up quite often, I don't think they'll be hard to find.

sly...that's great!
are you planning to do some alt work with it? is that why you got it?
-
Congrats! Still my most used format!

Absolutley! cyanos, gums, and pt/pd for sure. Maybe I'll try some of the other processes too. Biggest problem? All the other things that take time away from photography! I've got so many projects in my head, new ones keep popping in, and there just isn't time!

Now that sounds like someone who's going to do some great work!
All the best luck

Way to go, sly. See, size does matter.

Congrats sly. There's nothing like composing on 8x10 and over. I'm sure you'll have fun.

So you moved beyond the gateway drug . . . er . . . camera . . . soon you'll be breaking into homes and cars to finance an 11x14 . . . seek rehab before you reach 8x20 or 12x20 . . .
