Wephota NP22 ----- any surprises?
I've just bought a fairly old Kodak whole plate camera and it had a couple of packs of this film as part of the deal. The packs are like cardboard envelopes rather than the boxes I am used to, so before I get to loading the film holders I was wondering if there are any surprises to catch me out once I get into the envelopes? I'm guessing there might just be a black polythene bag as there would be with paper, but I'd appreciate reassurance.
Thanks, Peter

You are probably correct, that the film is in a black polyethelene bag, probably between 2 sheets of cardboard.
This film is probably made by Foma or Efke.
Don't open the outer box in any kind of light, as the inner wrap is normally not sealed, just taped over.

Hi Peter,
there are actually 2 bags inside the enveloppe.
The outer one is a black plastic, containing a paper enveloppe with the films inside.
It is a nice weight and space-saving way for shipping.
The films are sandwiched between to cardboards and a protective separator sheet. There are no paper separators between the individual sheets.
If you need developing info, just contact me.
Kind regards,
Geert

Wasn't there an old ORWO NP22?

Wephota buys master rolls and cuts the film. Current NP22 is Fomapan 100.
You can ask Wephota directly:

Don't know if he speaks english.
The advantage of Wephota is that you can get the emulsions in all sizes, even custom sizes.
